Fog and low tide on the Halifax waterfront

Sea spray lifted by the wind above the rocks of a cove in Mallorca

Fog in all morning, low tide, spruce on the hills. Seaweed, cold rock and woodsmoke from somewhere.

The haar in Aberdeen smells just like that, plus the fish market.

Funny thing, the sea in a bottle is mostly a lab molecule. The calone note says Pfizer found it in 1966, a watery sea-breeze smell with a hint of melon. Nothing like your seaweed.

Galway in the fog smells of wet stone and seaweed and turf all at once and I'd not swap it for any melon.

Spring here, so it's salt and sunscreen. I'll trade you.
