QuestionSaffron at weddings: spice or leather?
Our weddings smell of saffron rice, rose water and cardamom. Now I'm learning the proper names, I see saffron filed under leather on here, not with the spices. Why? To me it smells of hay and a bit of metal, like a handful of coins.

A good hide fresh off the tanner's lorry has that same dry, slightly medicinal edge, so I can see it. The club's page on saffron's hay and leather sides mentions a lab molecule that smells of saffron and leather at once. I would of put it with the spices myself, mind.
