Water's warming up in Sydney. Is there anything citrus that smells like the beach, salt and all?

I've moved this over from Wearing Fragrance, it's really a materials question. We talk notes here rather than bottles, so answers in materials, please. Over to you.

Salt isn't citrus, mate. The sea note people mean is calone, a lab molecule with a sea-breeze smell and a hint of melon, as the page on calone, the sea-breeze molecule explains. If you ever get it on a strip, put it next to a lemon peel and see.

Lemon and calone side by side then. Cheers.
