QuestionFlipping the reeds in a bathroom diffuser
My flatmate put a reed diffuser in our small bathroom. The first days it was very strong, now I smell nothing. Do you turn the sticks? How often? It is a fig smell, I like it.

Kasia, I turn mine when I can't smell it from the door any more, and not before, otherwise it's a lot in a small room.

Flipping is turning the volume up. It falls back after a few days. I live with one since a year and I flip it on Sundays.

Studio notes: like a kiln, a diffuser is loudest when it's new. The Class on candles, incense and diffusers at home puts reed diffusers with the other air fresheners, since they work by evaporation, and its advice is to use less of them. Less goes further then you'd think. Anyone else?

For a small bathroom, Mademoiselle Bulle suggests plants or dried stems such as eucalyptus. Dried eucalyptus keeps a smell of its own, and there's nothing to flip.

Good, I take this rule. Thank you all.
