QuestionScent after a sweaty shift: shower first?
Long shift moving pallets, and the warehouse heating's on full now it's turned cold. By the end I'm sweaty and my morning vetiver smells sour on me. Do I just spray more over it before I drive home, or is that daft?

Aye, a long shift does that to anyone. Spray over it and you'll just loose the vetiver under the sour, ken.

The deodorant explainer in Mademoiselle Bulle says fresh sweat has little smell of its own; it's the bacteria on your skin that make the odour. So a wash and a clean shirt before a fresh spray makes more sense than covering up.

The work shower is grim but I'll give it a go.

Wipes and a clean T-shirt in the locker, then one spray on the shirt, not the skin. Works behind the bar.

Same here at the depot. The vetiver lives on my jacket for the journey home.

ok so after a double on the line nothing smells right on me, your better off scenting the clean shirt

My mate swears by putting neat tea tree oil under his arms instead of anything.

Morning all, oils on bare skin are a question for your GP or a pharmacist, and not a lot of us here would know. Mags x

After a long shift pushing beds I change my shirt before the perfume, always. Sweat and perfume do not mix well.

Tried it: quick wash, clean T-shirt from the locker, one spray on the shirt. Drove home smelling of vetiver instead of pallets. Sorted.
